Attendance

Attendance Policy

At Patterson Joint Unified School District Adult Education, we value commitment and dedication to learning. To ensure that our courses run smoothly and effectively, we have implemented the following attendance policy:

General Attendance Guidelines:

1. Students who miss the first two sessions of classes will be subject to removal from the course.

2. In cases where a student misses three sessions of a class, whether consecutive or not, they will be dropped from the course.

Teacher Exception Requests:

In certain situations, teachers may request an exception to the attendance policy on a case-by-case basis. To do so, teachers must provide their rationale for making the exception in writing to the PJUSD Adult Education Principal.

Course-Specific Attendance Requirements:

Please note that some classes may have more specific or restrictive attendance requirements. These requirements will be communicated to students at the beginning of the course.

We understand that life circumstances may occasionally interfere with attendance, but consistent participation is crucial for success in our educational programs. Our attendance policy is designed to maintain the quality and integrity of our courses while also accommodating individual student needs when appropriate.

If you have any questions or require additional information regarding the attendance policy for your specific course, please don't hesitate to reach out to your instructor or the PJUSD Adult Education Principal.

Thank you for your commitment to learning, and we look forward to a successful educational journey together.
