Drug Free, Tobacco Free, Weapon Free Campuses
The Patterson Joint Unified School District (PJUSD) is committed to providing safe and healthy learning environments for all students, staff, and visitors. To achieve this, we have established the following policies:
1. Prohibition of Tobacco and Drug Use:
The use of tobacco and drugs is strictly prohibited on all PJUSD campuses. We are dedicated to creating an atmosphere that promotes well-being and supports a drug-free lifestyle.
2. Prohibition of Firearms and Knives:
Firearms and knives are not permitted on any school campus within the PJUSD. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and security of all individuals within our educational community.
Children on Campus:
We recognize the importance of maintaining an environment that is conducive to learning and free from distractions. To that end:

Adult School students are not permitted to bring children to school while attending classes.

It is the responsibility of students and parents to make appropriate childcare arrangements away from school premises.

If children are found on campus, their parent(s) will be kindly asked to take them home to maintain a focused and safe educational environment.

Cell Phone Usage Policy
To maintain a focused and productive learning environment, the following cell phone usage policy is in effect:
Cell Phone Use During Class Instructional Periods:

Set to vibrate mode, or completely turned off during class time.
Cell Phone Use During Designated Class Break Periods:
Cell phones may be used during designated class break periods. These breaks provide an appropriate opportunity for checking messages, making calls, or engaging with your mobile device.
